Mound Fuji
Portrait of the viewer as Muhammads Mountain depicted as a journey between points of view.
An installation response for the Unfrequented Paths exhibition at the Richard Jefferies museum, Swindon from 1/5/2019 to 15/5/2019.
Mount Fuji is one of Japans three sacred mountains.
The quote "Mahomet cald the Hill to come to him. And when the Hill stood still, he was neuer a whit abashed, but said; If the Hill will not come to Mahomet, Mahomet wil go to the hil." is found in Francis Bacon's unverified Islamic history circa 1625.
In Portrait of the viewer as Muhammad's mountain depicted as a journey between points of view I invite the viewer to become the subject of the Art object and take a journey between the observer and observed. As seen from other viewpoints and other points of view.

Jam Today
An installation response for Austerity! in FAB16
An installation response for Austerity! in FAB16
"The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday—but never jam today."
This wacky pronouncement made by Lewis Carols fictional White Queen, seems to have been appropriated as the rule of thumb for the government’s austerity programme.
Jam Today challenges the authority of that perverse logic and explores ideas around competing interest groups confounded by their bindings.. Suggestive of the aftermath of a battle at the check out.
A metaphor for a dysfunctional consumer society. The trollies
release chains, normally agents of order, have become
shackles of chaos.
